Batch process is available after registered. But you can try the demo of Pro version to learn about it.

Permission problem?

I have limited user account (no admin rights) and install software under separate admin account. Limited user can't invoke IExif from Firefox nor from shell extension -- IExif window is not displayed and no any error messages are displayed (shell extensions are installed and commands visible in menus, however choosing the command does nothing). When I start it form start menu shortcut it will work OK.
Under admin account all extensions work OK.

You can try to install IExif and its extension in the limited user again.
Default settings in DF ?

Is there any way to alter the default settings in DigitalFilm ? Now I have to re-enter my same standard settings and signatures, resolutions, file names, etc every single time I open DigitalFilm. I am using the registered version. I did not find anything on this in the very brief Help.
Also, the zoom in/zoom out could be more user friendly and the image could remain zoomed after an "apply".
Many thanks in advance, Pandy

I'm looking for a program where I can print multiple pictures per page (thumbnails) along with some metadata for each thumbnail. Can this program do that?
Thanks, Josh

PowerExif is only an editor to modify exif data in image files.
Hi, Digital film recognizes without problems the RAW of the Fuji S 9000/9500? Thanks
Admin

Yes, you can try to load the raw file(*.raf) from fujifilm in trial version of DigitalFilm.

Pro Version - No IPTC Tags

I want to check where the tags are going in my files because I have two applications iMatch and Paint Shop Pro which are not placing the tags in the same place. I can not get the IPTC tags on these TIFF files to show up. Is there something I am missing?
Ann Hopkins
2005-11-22 02:13
Well lets not bother with Paint Shop Pro X (Corel) because it is obvious from several programs that the program clobbers metadata.
I was tired yesterday and didn't really specify the problem well. I can not see IPTC information in a TIFF file. It turns out I need to have a EXIF section tacked on or it will not show up. This turns out to be common among a lot of programs. iMatch organizer does let me see all the data.

Correction after some additional testing.
I can not see IPTC information in a TIFF file or a JPG file modified by iMatch or Ifranview. iMatch organizer does let me see all the data for TIFF or JPG.
Each program seems to clobber the following IPTC records:
OK, please send the TIFF files including IPTC data to us for testing.

I am so disapointed in your trial version. Allowing me only to view a sample at a very small size. A larger Jpg / Tiff opens as a little file. And produces a very poor quallity test. I would not mind if there was a large watermark all over.
How can anybody evaluate a program in this mode? Not possible!

Right click jpg not working

I just installed 2.25. When I had 1.8 I could right click on a pg file and I could select view exif info. But after installing 2.25 I do not have the option. Can you tell me what I need to put in my registry so I can get that option back.
Thank you

Uninstall IExif completely, then re-install it.
Mark Perez
2005-10-28 20:16
I did that and it still doesn't work. I then uninstalled version 2 and then reinstalled 1.8 and the right click option still isn't there.

Directly run IExif 2.25, then click "options" in toolbar and re-select "Enabled Internet Exploere and System Shell Plug-in Version", and restart IExif 2.25, just OK.

Be sure that the EXIF of photos taken by your D2H is full. then open it in IExif and check the tag "Total numbers of shutter release for camera" from bottom of software.
No EXIF until reload

On my site, I have a photo blog, where I on average post one picture each day. These are taken with different digital cameras, and when I tested the IExif extension to Firefox, the pictures from one of the camera models work perfect, but when I try with pictures from some of the others it says "The image file doesn't support iEXIF information" although I know that there is EXIF info present.
When I reload the page in Firefox and try the same picture again, it all works fine.
Example of picture where this happens: http://anders.hultman.nu/dagens/040804-125741
All the big pictures on the "dagens" site have EXIF (but not the small ones).

Update: This problem seems to be more random than I first thought. At first it looked like all pictures taken with my Sony U-30 displayed Exif fine, and that pictures taken with my Pentax istD had problems, but I've found U-30 pictures where this error occurs too, like this one for example: http://anders.hultman.nu/dagens/050807-183211
And I've also found istD pictures where this reloading trick didn't work. And pictures where IExif first can read the Exif, but CAN'T after a reload...

Update 2: It seems like my problem was due to inproper cache settings in the browser. I have revised the settings and made sure that all files are properly cached, and since then the problem haven't occurred anymore. I still don't understand why it worked/not worked so randomly, but since it works fine now, it problably was the cache settings.
Admin
2005-10-18 16:37
Yes, it is the cause what the cache area of your IE is full. You can solve the problem by clearing the cache of IE.
